Electric Motor Services
Field Service, when it comes to Electric Motors, is a rather broad issue, and Apparatus Repair & Engineering, Inc. is able to narrow that down for you if you've got problems.
When an electric motor goes down in your plant, it's possible that no one but you will notice! Maybe it's a ventilating fan in YOUR office or the exhaust fan in the break room. You can fix those things "at a more convenient time". But, it's also possible that the motor is critical enough that you're going to end up sending workers home because the plant simply can't run without that particular motor. No one wants that to happen, but when it does, you need someone you can rely on. That someone, is A.R.&E.
Our technicians are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, just to help you get out of a jam. And we can offer a multitude of diagnostic tools, if you can't figure out what's going on or what caused the problem.
Motors fail (or stop working) due to some problem. They just don't suddenly quit (well, almost never). So we've got the tools to check things out. Voltmeters, meggers, hi-pot testers, surge testers, and most of all... experienced technicians who know how to use these tools. We'll do our best to get your plant up and running in the shortest time possible. And if we find the motor has failed completely (windings burned out, bearings totally failed, broken shaft, etc.), we're ready to assist you in removing the motor, transporting it to our shop and repairing it on an emergency basis. And while that'll usually be a viable solution, if the motor needs replaced with a NEW motor, Apparatus Repair & Engineering, Inc. has a sizable inventory of NEW motors, ready for sale. One way or the other. we're going to do our best to get you back on track within the shortest amount of time possible.
And when we reinstall the motor, we can Laser Align it with the driven equipment, and perform Vibration Analysis to make certain it's operating the way it should.
So if you've got a problem inside your facility and need an extra set of eyes, ears and hands to help you get back on line, call our shop superintendent and have us schedule our technician(s) to assist with the solution. We're here to help...
